I became a personal trainer so I could use my wealth of experience working with some of the world’s leading coaches and athletes in helping my clients reach their fitness goals. I enjoy helping people lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle whereby exercise and dietary choices are enjoyable rather than a chore.
I earned my degree in Sport and Exercise Science in Cardiff, Wales, one of the U.K.’s leading institutes in this field. There I trained alongside Olympic medalists as a sprinter, where I represented my university at the British championships and won county titles. Through track and field I have been exposed to the training methods of several Olympic champions and have travelled all over the world. to learn more about my trade. The discipline and attitude exhibited in these athletes are some of the key points I endeavour to pass on to my clients. Track and field is one of the purest sports, and the training methods used can be applicable across the vast majority of sports and for those looking to develop various aspects of their personal fitness.
I am a strong believer in playing to your strengths and devise personalised programmes that suits the individuals needs of the clients and just importantly, is something they enjoy. After all, programme adhesion is arguably the most important aspect of exercise prescription. The flexibility in terms of fitting your training around your lifestyle is integral to a successful plan, rather than fitting your lifestyle around training. With that in mind, I aim to adapt my programmes around the professional and social lives of my clients.
You don’t have to be an Olympian to benefit from my experience, you can all use the lessons I have learnt to look and, more importantly, feel better in day to day life.
